Multi-channel Bioreactor with Non-invasive Real Time Biomass, pH and pO2 Measurement

RTS-8 is a personal bioreactor from Biosan that utilises patented Reverse-Spin® technology. This applies non-invasive, mechanically driven, low energy consumption, an innovative type of agitation, where cell suspension is mixed by the single-use falcon bioreactor tube rotating around its axis with a change of direction of motion resulting in highly efficient mixing and oxygenation for aerobic cultivation. Combined with a near-infrared optical system it is possible to register cell growth kinetics non-invasively in real time.

RTS-8 makes it possible to cultivate microaerophilic and obligate anaerobic microorganisms (not strict anaerobic conditions).

Parallel cultivation enables to save time and resources for bioprocess optimisation, while individually controlled bioreactor accelerates optimisation process.

The Reverse–Spin® mixing principle enables non-invasive biomass measurement in real time.

The instrument allows temperature control, with active cooling for bioprocess applications, including temperature fluctuation experiments, while task profiling offers process automation. Cloud data storage allows remotely monitoring of the process of cultivation while at home or using a mobile phone.

RTS-8 comes together with free of charge software for storage, demonstration and analysis of data in real time.
