Don Whitley Scientific introduces the Whitley A35 Anaerobic workstation – the first to feature a revolutionary new porthole system for bare handed working. Built on 30 years experience, the unique design makes sample manipulation within a secure anaerobic environment as easy as working aerobically on the laboratory bench. The sleeveless format also uses eight times less gas when entering the workstation compared to conventional portholes.

Workstation parameters, including dual gas operation, are controlled through the intuitive touchscreen interface. The built-in airlock allows rapid transfer of up to 40 Petri dishes in 60 seconds and by maximising the incubation capacity of the A35, the perfect environment can be created for hundreds of plates within a relatively small footprint. Although ideal for laboratories with limited work areas, a custom-made trolley is also available to completely free up bench space and allow easy movement of the workstation.

Don Whitley Scientific understands that clinical and research applications require different configurations of workstation – a range of options is available to tailor the A35 as required. These include a 15cm letterbox, ideal for quickly transferring small items, as well as a completely removable front to allow thorough cleaning between experiments, bulk sample transfer or introduction of large equipment. Should electrical equipment be required within the workstation, the A35 can also be fitted with an interior electrical socket. Workstation installation, scheduled maintenance and technical support are provided through Don Whitley Scientific’s network of highly-skilled engineers.
