Glassco has developed an advanced hotplate for use in analytical and other laboratories. The hotplate has been designed with safety features such as a safety warning indicator for hot top that blinks when the temperature of the top plate is higher than 50oC, the indicator works on power failure also just to be safer. A thermal shutdown is built as an independent safety. The hot top is thermally insulated from body, so the body remains cool even on very high hot plate temperatures. Digital models have internal memory for saving last run programmes.

The stirrer motor is driven with variable power to stir viscous liquids also. The unit can be used as a hot plate, a stirrer and a combination by choice of settings. One of the attractive features in the hot plate is the ease in usability of the hotplate with a single set up knob, which can set up temperature, stir speed and time. The display unlike LCD types is more easily viewable. The digital models also support independent probes that can be immersed in the sample. The unit is programmable for a cycle. It is available in steel and ceramic coated steel tops. The digital units have audible alarms. Glassco hotplates have all the modern operating and safety features that every scientist may want for his laboratory.
