Microtube Shaker Offers Maximum Versatility and Efficiency

Grant Instruments has introduced a newly expanded line of highly versatile, variable speed, variable temperature Thermoshakers for microtubes. Ideal for applications requiring heating and mixing samples, the PHMT Thermoshaker product range can accommodate 0.5ml, 1.5ml, and 2.0ml size microtubes. Each unit is supplied with a heating block for a desired microtube size; however, interchangeable heating blocks for the different

size tubes can be purchased separately.

Grant PHMT Thermoshakers function as three instruments in one. They can be used either as a microtube thermoshaker, a compact benchtop incubator without shaking or a microtube shaker without temperature control. This multifunctional capability maximises versatility as well as efficiency. By combining the mixing operation with the incubation phase, both reaction process times and operator workloads are reduced and sample preparation throughput is increased. With an operating temperature range of 4 to 45ºC, the units are suitable for use in cold rooms as well as incubators.

Grant PHMT Thermoshakers are easy to operate and provide a simple setup procedure for temperature, shaking speed, and running time. They enable continuous or timed operation with an audible alarm and automatic shutoff. Heating range can be controlled from 5 to 100ºC and reproducible shaking speeds from 250 to 1400 rpm. The units are compact with a low profile and small footprint. Like all Grant equipment the PHMT Thermoshakers are built to last and come with a 3-year warranty.
