Versitile new full-featured pH/temperature meter with Smart technology

Hanna Instruments is pleased to announce the release of the HI2022 edge^blu pH/temperature meter that connects wirelessly to pH electrodes with Bluetooth^® Smart technology (Bluetooth 4.0). The edge^blu is a full-featured meter that is affordable and suitable for all types of users.

edge^blu is incredibly thin and lightweight, measuring only 0.5” thick and weighing just nine ounces; blending elements of a portable and benchtop meter into a single seamless design. This versatile design allows it to be used as a benchtop meter when docked in its’ cradle with built in probe holder or can be removed and used as a portable meter. edge^blu also includes a wall mount cradle so that it can be attached to a wall to free-up valuable tabletop space whether in a traditional laboratory or on the production floor.

In addition to its thin, lightweight design, edge^blu features:

• A large 5.5” LCD with a wide viewing angle;
• Capacitive touch keypad;
• Dual USB ports;
• Calibration Check alerts user to pH electrode problems; and
• Bluetooth^® Smart technology for wireless connection to pH electrodes.

edge^blu is supplied with the HI11102 glass body, gel filled, digital pH electrode with a built-in temperature sensor in the tip of the probe for fast and accurate temperature compensated measurements. The HI11102 is part of the HALO family of pH electrodes with Bluetooth^® Smart technology and is as advanced as the meter. The HALO pH electrodes features a built-in microchip that stores the sensor type, ID, and calibration information that is automatically retrieved by the meter allowing for swapping of probes without having to recalibrate. The HALO electrodes communicate seamlessly with edge^blu or an iPad^® (third generation or newer) running the Hanna Lab App that can be downloaded from the iTunes Store for free. 

The edge^blu is a natural extension to the Hanna Instruments product line. edge^blu combines two recent and popular innovations from Hanna; HALO pH electrodes with Bluetooth^® Smart technology and one of the most advanced pH meters available, edge.
