Integra Biosciences AG chose Analytica 2008 as the venue to preview two exciting new products. Visitors to Stand 505 (Hall B1) were able to see the new generation FIREBOY, an intrinsically safe and mobile alternative to the traditional Bunsen burner. Operating from a gas cartridge and powered from a rechargeable battery the new robustly designed FIREBOY range can be used where ever you wish, safely. Advanced temperature protection, flame monitor and alarm display features serve to protect both the operator and operating environment. The gas ignition is both rapid and safe - the new FIREBOY requires no lighter or matches. The new 30-litre version of the internationally popular MEDIACLAVE will be on public display for the first time - a highly safe and economical system for sterilisation of microbiological media. In combination with Integra’s Petri dish filler MEDIAJET and test tube dispenser TUBEFILLER users have the choice of a complete range of highly productive solutions for all media preparation requirements. For laboratories looking for safe, easy and rapid aspiration of biohazardous liquids technical staff will be on hand to demonstrate the popular VACUSAFE comfort system. Incorporating pump unit, waste collection bottle, tubing and VACUBOY hand operator in an all-in-one compact instrument, the VACUSAFE comfort is a highly safe vacuum system that readily fits below all commercially available laminar flow cabinets.
