Increased German Market Focus

Apr 27 2010

Porvair Sciences Ltd has chosen the forthcoming Analytica meeting in Munich, Germany as the launch pad for its increased focus on German speaking markets in 2010.

Steve Knight, Marketing Manager, commented: “Over recent years, working with local agents including Dunn Labortechnik GmbH and our Austrian & Swiss Distributors, we have generated considerable interest from German speaking scientists in our innovative microplate products that enable scientists to optimise sample preparation and improve productivity.” He added: “Many European scientists have appreciated the excellent technical and applications support available from Porvair Sciences’ knowledgeable staff – in 2010 this will be augmented by the introduction of a wide range of German and French language content on our website.”

Visitors to Analytica will be able to see Porvair Sciences’ comprehensive range of application specific microplates and affordable, productivity-enhancing microplate equipment.

At this important meeting Porvair Sciences will show the MiniSeal Plus™, an entry-level semi-automated thermal sealer developed for laboratories sealing small to medium batches of microplates. The versatile device is capable of producing an accurate and tight seal on any SBS proposed standard, deep well or PCR microplate from 3 to 62mm in height. For laboratories looking to remove the traditional drug discovery ’bottleneck’ of solvent evaporation in microplates prior to analysis or reconstitution in buffer - Porvair Sciences’ choice of 24-well and 96-well MiniVap™ sample concentrators will be of particular interest. The affordable MiniVap sample concentrators take just minutes to dry down a plate. Compact in design the MiniVap will fit into any standard fume cupboard and is ideal for laboratories tasked with smaller numbers of individual microplates.

Designed to be easily assembled and disassembled by robotic manipulators - Porvair Sciences will exhibit their innovative Universal Robotic Manifold – a novel product that enables productive automation of SPE or DNA clean-up procedures. Able to accommodate collection plates from 14mm - 44mm in height and adaptable to work with three different lengths of drip director, the Universal Robotic Manifold offers the unique capability of being able to operate with all brands of filter plate and waste collection reservoir tray.
