Ricerca Biosciences is pleased to announce the validation and implementation of the Watson Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for the company’s bioanalysis division. The Watson LIMS system was developed with input from biopharmaceutical companies and is widely used within those organisations, as well as within contract research organisations (CROs).

With key functionality designed specifically for the bioanalytical laboratory setting, features include the capability to electronically track shipments and samples and handle standard to complex protocols. The system is fully integrated with powerful data acquisition and processing capabilities. As a result, the system enables even greater productivity in the laboratory and allows for accelerated laboratory turnaround times.

“This is a significant milestone for Ricerca’s bioanalytical division,” stated Jim Szabo, D.V.M, PhD, DACVP, Vice President, Biology Services. “With over ten LC/MS/MS instruments at our facility, it allows for increased efficiencies in sample analysis and data transfer. The end result is rapid turn around for our clients in a highly streamlined and accurate fashion. Additionally, the system is a cornerstone component in our impeccable quality control programme with data being reported through the LIMS system and then verified by our quality team to ensure regulatory compliance.”

Ricerca offers extensive expertise in lead selection (early ADME) and drug development (IND to NDA) services including method development, rapid sample analysis, custom assay development, and metabolite identification. This advanced technology, along with highly skilled scientific staff and extensive emphasis on customer service, ensures reliable client solutions.

“Clients rely on Ricerca for scientifically strong bioanalytical services. This investment and validation in Watson LIMS signals our commitment to continually provide access to the latest technologies while delivering accurate results,” stated Dr Szabo.
