A new generation of digital high speed homogeniser, the D-500D, has been developed and produced by Wiggens. The 500 Watt motor provides sufficient power and high speed necessary for efficient particle size reduction. With digital motor speed control from 500 to 30,000 rpm and aggregate tip speeds of up to 32m/s, the finest particles possible are produced. The soft start prevents splashing of homogenate from the sample vessel and the insulated motor housing keeps motor noise to a safe, approved level. A large digital display ensures the speed can be easily observed.

Aggregates with a variety of styles and diameters are available to provide optimum particle size reduction when using this drive. These range from 3mm in diameter for volumes down to 0.05 mL to 20mm for volumes up to 2000mL. The electronic control system continuously monitors the speed and automatically adjusts it, keeping it constant with changing viscosity.
