Wiggens’ innovative technology has been used to produce the new generation round top hotplate-stirrer WH240 series. The hot plate uses unique infrared technology with a power of up to 600W and the ceramic glass has a high infrared transparency which results in a very high heating efficiency in a standard round top plate of 135mm diameter. Optimised PID parameters allows many different kinds of applications. A specially designed stainless steel protection ring, sealed outer shell of the top plate, and the robust ceramic glass can resist a thermal shock of 700℃ guaranteeing an enhanced longevity of the instrument. The control system has been updated to a higher level using a bright LCD display with adjustable backlight for user friendly monitoring and setup. Adjustable safety temperature setting using independent safety temperature circuit ensures a high safety level. A well-chosen design with reliable embedded temperature sensors inside the ceramic glass top plate makes the control more stable and accurate. A wide range of accessories suitable for the standard top size can provide uniform heating for multiple size vials in parallel reactions with a superior stirring effect as well. The products are now available for the international market with various voltage standards.
