The high quality portable suction unit, Biovac, developed and produced by Wiggens, is mainly used in biochemical culture, culture liquid separation, waste liquid adsorption in cell culture and various waste liquid adsorption in laboratory environments.

The oil-free vacuum pump is maintenance-free, has very low noise levels, provides reliable operation and high-pressure sterilisation. The vacuum can be shown by a vacuum gauge and be easily adjusted.

The double overflow protection has a built-in float switch, plus a 0.2 μm PTFE hydrophobic disc filter between suction bottle and pump, and therefore prevents the medium and bacteria from flowing into the pump.

Different suction heads for various application needs include single-branch stainless steel suction heads, single-branch suction heads, handheld controllers and 8-branch ‘tip’ plastic suction heads.

The waste liquid can be discharged after high temperature sterilisation. Waste bottles and disc filters are autoclavable. The stable and durable casing is made of ABS material, which is light and easy to clean. The whole unit is made of from ABS plastic and aluminium alloy. Various precision elements have been developed and assembled through testing over time.

Six standard packages are available, catering to different vacuum needs, the pumping speed and waste bottle size.
