Liquid handling
The beverage dispense industry has shifted from simple volume tracking and revenue protection to a focus on drink quality, precision dosing and consistency across a wide range of beverages. At the centre of this evolution is flow measurement technology, an area where Titan Enterprises Ltd works with OEMs across the food and beverage sector.
Traditionally, flowmeters in bars and production environments were used to ensure accurate dispensing and reduce losses. While financial control remains important, today’s systems are increasingly designed to deliver consistent flavour, carbonation and recipe accuracy for everything from beer and cider to soft drinks, coffee and mixed beverages.
Titan’s NSF-approved beverage flowmeters are designed to meet these changing requirements. Certified to NSF/ANSI 169, they use non-metallic wetted components and food-grade materials, making them suitable for beer, wine, spirits, syrups and blended drinks.
At the core of the technology is a precision Pelton wheel turbine, running on sapphire bearings with over-moulded magnets and a Hall effect sensor. This generates a pulse output that integrates with monitoring and control systems to deliver real-time flow and volume data. The system supports flow rates of up to 10 litres per minute, enabling consistent dispensing and reduced waste across applications.
Beyond pubs and bars, Titan’s flowmeters are used in distilleries, soft drink production, coffee systems and automated batching equipment, supporting OEMs in both manufacturing and end-use dispensing environments.
The company is also responding to wider industry changes, including the move towards personalised beverages and on-demand mixing of ingredients such as flavours and CO₂ at the point of dispense. These approaches can improve freshness while reducing waste and distribution costs.
To support future requirements, Titan has developed an ultrasonic beverage flowmeter within its Atrato® range. With no moving parts, it offers a low-maintenance, hygienic alternative for modern dispensing systems and integrates easily into existing setups.
Titan works closely with OEM partners, including RWC/John Guest, to refine performance under real-world operating conditions.
As beverage systems evolve, advanced flow measurement is increasingly central to ensuring consistency, efficiency and product quality across the global drinks industry.
