Game Changing LC-TQ Mass Spectrometers

Oct 22 2012

The EVOQ™ triple quadrupole for liquid chromatography (LC-TQ) was designed for a singular purpose – to reliably quantify thousands of real samples in the fastest sample-to-report time possible. It delivers exceptional sensitivity, precision, accuracy, linearity, and a wide dynamic range for multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) assays. Innovations in software and atmospheric pressure ionisation (API) technology make it a game changer for routine high-sensitivity, quantitative analysis.

The EVOQ LC-TQ systems incorporate Bruker’s new Advance™ Ultra-High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (UHPLC) systems. In addition, the EVOQ platform features several major innovations: the industry’s first Vacuum-Insulated Probe (VIP) heated electrospray technology preserves and ionises thermally fragile molecules with outstanding sensitivity; the Active Exhaust atmospheric pressure ionisation source with a robust orifice vacuum interface significantly enhances quantitative robustness for difficult samples; the novel, ‘tune-free’, proprietary Interlaced Quadrupole Dual Funnel (IQ-DF™) maximises sensitivity; novel PACER™ software enables ‘exception-based data-review’, a revolutionary feature that significantly reduces the error rate for quantitative analysis.

Bruker’s patented lens-free triple-quadrupole mass filter design, which enhances MRM performance, is standard on all EVOQ systems making the EVOQ LC-TQ inherently easier to use and maintain. Other high performance TQ features include Bruker’s unique Compound-Based Scanning (CBS) technology.

Bruker’s EVOQ two game-changing LC-triple quadrupole (LC-TQ) mass spectrometers, with the high-performance EVOQ Qube™ and the ultra-high sensitivity EVOQ Elite™, sets new standards for analytical performance and quantitative robustness. The EVOQ series targets LC-TQ performance leadership and delivers major advances in robustness, ease of method developments and productivity, particularly the key applications for food testing, environmental analysis, toxicology testing, pharmacokinetics and drug discovery. The EVOQ’s allow users to: easily obtain ultra-high sensitivity for small molecules and biomolecules as a result of the innovative interlaced-quadrupole (IQ) dual ion funnel; confidently run matrix-rich samples on the robust orifice-plate based API interface; efficiently analyse thermally labile molecules at high flow rates with the novel vacuum insulated probe (VIP) heated-electrospray probe; save time using exception-based data-review software, which makes it easier to highlight chromatograms that do not meet preset method criteria.
