New Spectrometer Features Ultra-high Dynamic Range
Mar 08 2023
Hamamatsu Photomics has developed a cutting-edge spectrometer with an ultra-high dynamic range of 2,500,000 to 1 across a spectral range of 200 nm to 900 nm. This has been made possible through the use of advanced opto-semiconductor and software technologies. The new spectrometer, OPAL-Luxe C16736-01, is the flagship model in Hamamatsu's spectrometer range and allows for simultaneous measurement of both strong and weak signals.
The OPAL-Luxe spectrometer can be integrated into component analysers that utilise light absorption properties of substances in the ultraviolet to near-infrared region, enabling the simultaneous analysis of various components within a sample. It provides increased component analysis efficiency in the quality control of chemicals by detecting trace amounts of impurities in substances without requiring repeated measurements. Moreover, the OPAL-Luxe contributes to the progress of plasma application research by analysing plasma emissions with high accuracy.
