Almsco International, the mass spectrometry division of Markes International Ltd, has appointed a new Senior Sales Co-ordinator for north and west Europe to further strengthen its international sales and business development activity.

Bob Green will be responsible for developing sales of Almsco’s mass spectrometer, the BenchTOF-dx - and TargetView GC/MS software, for specific applications in the UK and to key markets in north-western Europe including France, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands.

After a long and successful career in the UK with Anatune, where he held senior management positions in Sales and Service before becoming Technical Director, Bob joins Almsco from gas chromatography instrument manufacturer Ellutia, where he was the UK Sales Manager. Bob brings to Almsco a wealth of technical and commercial experience of the GC-MS business.

Since being introduced to the market in 2008, the BenchTOF-dx has gone from strength to strength and is now being used to advance a range of GC, GCxGC and thermal desorption (TD)-GC applications including environmental contamination, oil exploration, food safety, odour/fragrance, metabolomics, homeland security and toxicology.
