UK laboratory instrument specialists Spectronic Camspec report a highly successful Lab Innovations 2013 at the NEC recently. As the ‘green shoots’ of the recovery takes hold, the Leeds based company reported many new visitors to their stand. Mark Brereton said that interest was right across the board, some of it encouraged by their brand new website which has online sales of consumables: “Spectrophotometers, mercury analysers and electrochemical instruments were all attracting interest as organisations start to invest more heavily in high quality lab instrumentation again. We’re getting many calls from labs who found investing in inferior equipment to be a false economy during the recession and are now seeking high quality durable reliable and accurate equipment which is going to give years of trouble free usage and that’s where our range scores quite highly’.”

Spectronic equipment is widely used to detect sodium, lithium, calcium, mercury, ph levels and food texture for industries as diverse as pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals and food production.
