Chesterfield based metal specialists Nitec are finding their new Camspec M106 Spectrophotometer has proved to be a very efficient solution to a problem. Dr Jon Lidster from Nitec told us "The instrument is used to determine phosphorus content of our Nickel plate using a colorimetric method. The Camspec Spectrophotometer is capable of determining phosphorus to an accurate level and is very stable and reliable, yet simple to operate. I guess the simplicity and reliability make it more efficient and easier to operate than our previous method using titration.”

Similar spectrophotometers from Spectronic Camspec are in service with universities and research labs across Europe. Leeds based Spectronic Camspec, one of the UK’s largest independent laboratory instrument sales and service organisations, manufacture Cam spec spectrophotometers. Their website at www.spectronic.co.uk displays these and a wide range of other analytical instruments and consumables.
