5 ml Centrifuge Tubes for Medium-volume Laboratory Work Announced

Greiner Bio-One GmbH announces two new 5 ml reaction tubes. They are fitted with either a snap cap for fast opening and closing or a screw cap for secure sample storage. The external diameter and shape of the conical tubes correspond to standard 15 ml tubes, thus making them compatible with the respective laboratory equipment.

The key advantage of this tube size is that the tube interior can be accessed without risk of contamination when pipetting standard volumes of samples. The tubes are made of ultraclear polypropylene and also have frosted, writable surfaces, thereby ensuring reliable sample identification in day-to-day laboratory work. Sample integrity is ensured by using tested, resistant polypropylene, and the user-friendliness is rounded off by resealable bags.
