Agilent Technologies Inc. continues to expand its LC/MS solutions portfolio across the entire workflow, announcing several enhancements here this week. Agilent has launched significant hardware upgrades, along with software releases for pharmaceutical industry compliance, for small molecule research and metabolite identification, among many other applications.
Innovations announced at ASMS include:
o New FDA compliance features for MassHunter Workstation. MassHunter software provides intuitive instrument control, data acquisition, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and reporting for the Agilent 6410 Triple Quadrupole (QQQ) liquid chromatography/mass spectrometer (LC/MS) system.
o Plans for a significant upgrade to the Agilent 6410 QQQ mass spectrometer. The upgrade will benefit researchers involved in biomarker validation and other proteomics applications. The instrument's mass range will be extended to 2,000 m/z from the current 1,650 m/z
o Plans to launch MassHunter Metabolite ID software. The newest member of Agilent's MassHunter Workstation software suite, MassHunter Metabolite ID software will be available by August.
