Andor Technology PLC announced its new flexible range of microspectroscopy solutions. Combined with Andor’s world-leading CCD, ICCD and EMCCD cameras and spectrographs, the modular microspectroscopy set-ups allow a unique combination of ultra-fast yet highly sensitive microscopy imaging and spectroscopy.
One of the key enabling components is the Andor Shamrock spectrograph wide-aperture slit which opens new doors to a flexible and modular approach to microspectroscopy. Only one detection setup with a single camera is required to image samples whilst allowing spectral information collection through the same optical path from a microscope.
This new modular range is especially performing with Andor’s fast and extremely sensitive Newton and iXon+ EMCCD cameras, allowing weak Raman or Photoluminescence signal collection, down to single photon sensitivity.
This Andor solution offers the unique benefits of an all-in-one imaging and spectroscopy setup, including C-mount interfacing to all major microscopes, seamless kinematic mounting of a wide range of
accessories and endless configurations with dedicated ThorlabsTM cage systems interfaces.
Dr Andrew Dennis, Director of Product Management within Andor Technology, said: "The increasing demand amongst the Research community for adding spectral analysis to microscopy imaging of bio-samples, has led us to combine our highly sensitive and high performing cameras and spectroscopes with market-leading microscopes.”
He added: “Scientists can now rely on our innovation of the past decade to make their research efforts even more productive and greatly increase the analytical power of their detection set-ups.”
