Separation of oligosaccharides, including protein-linked glycans and glycopeptides – new HALO Glycan HILIC Columns

The new HALO Glycan HPLC stationary phase is a high performance material specifically targeted for separations of highly polar oligosaccharides, and particularly protein-linked glycans and glycopeptides, by hydrophilic interactive liquid chromatography (HILIC). The phase has a highly polar ligand containing five hydroxyl groups, which is attached to a 2.7micron Fused-Core silica particle via novel proprietary linkage chemistry. The Fused-Core particle used for HALO Glycan has a surface area of ~135 m2/g and an average pore size of 90Å. HALO Glycan columns are part of the innovative HALO BioClass family of Fused-Core columns from Advanced Materials Technology. This range also includes HALO Protein columns (C4 & ES-C18 phases) and HALO Peptide columns (ES-C18 & ES-CN phases) which aims to provide chromatographers with a wide range of application specific solutions for the separation of bio-derived samples.
