With PETRO-QUANT, the precalibrated solution of Bruker AXS for the wavelength dispersive WDXRF spectrometer S8 TIGER, users can analyse 26
elements quantitatively in all liquid petrochemicals in one method from ppm to % levels. It is possible to reduce the analysis cost and calibration cost dramatically compared to other XRF and elemental analysis techniques by using the unique turnkey solution. XRF is a powerful elemental analysis technique which can analyse samples directly
without digestions or dilutions. With a dynamic range from sub ppm to 100% XRF is unique as analytical technique. Quick turn around time, ease
of use and cost effective analysis is a major concern for producers and users of petrochemicals such as gasolines, oils, fuels and polymers as well as coals.
Bruker AXS has developed a 26 element screening method which is implemented in the PETROQUANT solution for XRF. Additionally important ISO and ASTM methods are predefined to allow quick implementation in the field. The newly developed analyser crystal XS-Ge-C enables user to achieve detection limits for sulphur in automotive fuels of 0.2 ppm. The expert can also use all library settings to implement own methods as well as to mix precalibrated methods with custom standard based methods. This novel approach was made possible by combining spectrometer hardware designed for the safe and process grade analysis of liquids with a cutting edge software base allowing wide range calibrations.
The combination of the S8 TIGER with PETROQUANT is the unique ready-made solution to meet the industry specific requirements in the
petrochemical field. TouchControlTM of the S8 TIGER allows even inexperienced users to perform elemental analysis easily through the intuitive design of the software. SampleCareTM protects the instrument components against damages from sample leakages reducing costs and
increasing instrument uptime.
