Preparative Scale Chromatography Now Available at the Laboratory Bench
Jun 23 2008
Another important advantage that HPCCC instruments bring to the laboratory is their extremely low usage of solvent. HPCCC uses 1/10th to 1/5th of the solvent that either preparative HPLC or Flash chromatography would use to process the same sample mass. Therefore, the time and equipment required for handling and disposal of the solvent is significantly reduced. Finally, HPCCC is an isocratic chromatography, so all solvent used can be completely recycled minimising solvent usage.
