Hamamatsu Photonics have increased their range of light sources and introduced a new high power UV fibre light source. The new L10290 comes with a brand new 30 Watt proprietry and high brightness deuterium lamp, which provides twice the radiant intensity of the previous UV fibre light source modules. Hamamatsu offers the longest life deuterium lamps (typically > 4,000 hours service) with the highest stability (typically 0.004 %) in the market.

The L10290 is ideally suited for UV-VIS spectrometry applications and other portable UV instrumentation. In particular a complete spectroscopic measurement system can be obtained when combined with one of Hamamatsu's miniature fibre-optic UV spectrometer
