New Application Book Offers Expertise in GPC Analysis
Jan 19 2018
Gel permeation chromatography (GPC) is a valuable and well-established tool for the chemical industry when it comes to the determination of the molecular weight and its distribution of polymers.
GPC can determine several important parameters. These include number average molecular weight (Mn), weight average molecular weight (Mw), Z weight average molecular weight (Mz), and the most fundamental characteristic of a polymer, its molecular weight distribution. These values are important, since they affect many of the characteristic physical properties of a polymer. Differences in these values can cause significant differences in the end-use properties of a polymer.
A new application book compiles various examples of ambient and high temperature GPC analysis for a broad range of polymers performed using the Tosoh EcoSEC GPC systems and TSKgel columns.
