Advanced Materials Technology have recently expanded their range of 2um HALO 2 series UHPLC Fused-Core particle columns with the introduction of 6 new phases. The full range now includes C18, C8, Phenyl-Hexyl, RP-Amide, PFP, ES-CN, Penta-HILIC and HILIC (silica). The HALO 2 series of UHPLC Fused-Core particle columns is designed to offer all the advantages of sub 2um UHPLC columns but without the inherent disadvantages. The columns are claimed to offer both higher efficiency and lower back pressure than most commercially available sub 2um UHPLC fully porous (non-core) materials under the same conditions. The HALO 2 series is based on the same proven Fused-Core particle technology as the well established 2.7um and 5um phases. They are stable up to 1000 bar (14,500 psi) and are manufactured with 1.0um frits on the column inlet, making them less susceptible to column plugging and leading to increased column lifetime.
