Extended InGaAs IR detectors enhance spectroscopy applications

20 Jan, 2025

The IG26H series from Laser Components expands the existing lineup of high-quality IG26 extended InGaAs infrared (IR) PIN photodiodes, offering low dark current under reverse bias conditions with excellent thermal performance. This advancement minimises the need for additional cooling solutions, making it an efficient choice for demanding applications.

Designed with high shunt resistance and exceptional responsivity across a broad spectrum, the IG26H series provides a peak responsivity of 1.45 A/W, ensuring enhanced sensitivity for spectroscopic and radiometric measurements. The detectors also feature a 50% cut-off wavelength exceeding 2.45 µm, enabling precise performance in critical applications.

To accommodate various operational requirements, the IG26H series is available in TE1 and TE2 packages for thermoelectric cooling, as well as an uncooled TO-can version. These detectors are ideally suited for applications such as spectrophotometry, diode laser monitoring, flame control, and gas detection.
