No matter how good your instrument, without regular verification, you may as well be generating random numbers!

Bellingham + Stanley Ltd., a UKAS accredited calibration laboratory number 0834, offer a number of high accuracy calibration materials over the range 1.33-1.52 RI (equivalent to 0-90 °Brix) for verifying and calibrating refractometers and offering traceability to ICUMSA and NIST. Calibrated in accordance with EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005, specific refractometer standards have a shelf life of up to 12-months and may be used on any type of refractometer, regardless of the maker.

For customers requiring sucrose based CRM’s, a choice of product is available up to 60 °Brix. Sucrose solutions have a relatively short shelf life, so a supply contract is available ensuring regular delivery of product against a single order number.

New to the CRM range in 2009 is the 1.56 RI calibration oil, which has been specifically produced for users that operate in the top end of the RI range and at 20°C. The 1.56 oil is accurate to 5-decimal places and is traceable to NIST.

Quartz Control Plates used for the verification of polarimeters and saccharimeters are also available from Bellingham + Stanley and are traceable to PTB in Germany. UKAS certificates of

calibration can be provided at time of supply or retrospectively when returned as part of a customer calibration routine.

All refractometer CRM’s are available from the new Bellingham + Stanley internet shop www.refractometershop.com, which also includes a complete range of hand held refractometers, industry specific test kits and some laboratory refractometers and polarimeters.

Labmate UK & Ireland readers can get 10% discount by entering a discount code of 1211956/09 when ordering any items from www.refractometershop.com before July 31st 2009.
