Laboratory events news
A major new event for the scientific community is set to launch this autumn as analytica USA prepares to open its doors for the first time. Running from 10–12 September 2025 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio, the trade fair aims to unite the global laboratory and research sectors across the fields of biotechnology, diagnostics, analytical science, and lab automation.
Backed by the international analytica network, which has established successful editions in Europe, Asia, and Africa, the US edition brings its signature three-part format - exhibition, scientific conference, and hands-on showcases - to North America. With 90% of the exhibit space already booked and around 200 exhibitors confirmed, the launch edition is shaping up to be a landmark meeting point for science and industry.
Among those showcasing their latest technologies are major industry players such as Bruker, MilliporeSigma, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Shimadzu, Xylem, Mettler Toledo, and Analytik Jena. According to Susanne Grödl, Global Industry Lead and Exhibition Director at Messe München, “analytica USA has been met with exceptional enthusiasm. Our goal is to provide a platform that connects cutting-edge research with practical applications across the full laboratory value chain.”
Held alongside the exhibition on 10–11 September, the analytica USA conference program will feature globally recognised scientists sharing recent breakthroughs in mass spectrometry, chromatography, microfluidics, and laboratory informatics. Dedicated sessions will also explore One Health - an integrative approach linking human, animal, and environmental health - and the growing importance of analytics in addressing public health and sustainability.
Beyond the lecture halls, visitors can expect a rich program of live demonstrations and immersive experiences. A Digital Transformation showcase will spotlight laboratory automation and connected systems, while Live Labs will offer real-time process optimisation training in full-scale lab setups. Meanwhile, the Lab Safety Show will provide dynamic presentations on the correct storage and handling of hazardous materials, including lithium-ion batteries - highlighting what can go wrong when safety protocols fail. Access to all demos is included in the general admission ticket.
analytica USA is also positioning itself as a catalyst for global research partnerships, with national pavilions from Germany, China, and the UK set to help international companies reach US markets. Grödl notes that “as the demand for robust analytical tools rises across fields from climate science to food quality control, the need for global dialogue has never been more pressing.”
As the countdown continues, analytica USA promises to deliver more than a trade fair - it offers a strategic venue for researchers, innovators, and laboratory professionals to connect, collaborate, and shape the future of the analytical sciences.
