The global laboratory community is gearing up for analytica 2024, scheduled to take place from 9 to 12 April in Munich. This premier international trade fair for laboratory technology, analysis, and biotechnology promises to showcase the future of laboratories in both industry and research sectors. The event is set to be a hub for knowledge exchange between experts from various scientific fields.

Leading market players confirmed, substantial international growth

Around 660 exhibitors have already registered, with a notable presence of both domestic and international market leaders. Growth from China is nearing pre-pandemic levels and innovations from start-ups and smaller companies new to analytica are generating considerable interest. The event will also feature substantial joint pavilions from the two leading markets, the United States and China. Currently, it appears that the areas of analysis and quality control will be notably well-represented, utilising five exhibition halls and the ICM conference centre.

Digitisation and Sustainability

Digital transformation within laboratories remains a prominent focus within the industry. Therefore, the Digital Transformation special event in collaboration with SmartLab Solutions GmbH. will once again be presented Visitors will have the opportunity to explore networked and digitised laboratory environments through five practical use cases.

Sustainability within laboratory settings is equally paramount. Analytica will spotlight relevant solutions addressing energy reduction and material reuse. Additionally, the analysis of food, a critical aspect of enhancing safety, quality, and consumer information, will be central to discussions. This includes exploration of Novel Foods in relation to sustainability and global nutrition.

As always, the prestigious analytica conference will run concurrently with the trade fair at the ICM. Featuring approximately 180 presentations by international experts, this conference encompasses the full spectrum of modern analysis and facilitates direct interaction between academia and industry. The four forums at analytica emphasise practicality, offering best-practice presentations to enhance everyday laboratory practices. The Occupational Safety and Health Forum, known for its compelling live demonstrations, will vividly illustrate the everyday hazards faced in laboratory work, including some potentially explosive situations. programs for students and professional development will continue to be offered. Lastly, ceramitec, the premier international ceramics industry trade fair, will coincide with analytica, providing additional synergy for exhibitors and attendees.
