Laboratory products
Attendees at the 2026 Lab Innovations show in Birmingham were treated to a look at two of Adam’s more recent product launches, along with a sneak peek at the third, which launches this month. The three ranges showcase Adam’s new, accelerated product development strategy.
Product development has become a company priority: Adam looks to allocate 10 percent growth to research and development this year.
Colin Maher, Adam’s CEO/Group Managing Director, said that following the launches of the Polaris balance range in January, the Sentinel dynamic checkweigher in June and the Aqua 100 compact washdown scale this month, “we are expecting product launches to accelerate, with a long-term goal of introducing new solutions every three months.”
Sentinel is Adam’s first dynamic checkweigher, offering many bespoke aspects that make it suitable for a variety of applications within the pharmaceutical and food production industries.
“The crucial thing about Sentinel,” noted Maher, “is its price point. Many businesses are put off inline checkweighing equipment because of the cost. We’re making sure our pricing is comfortably below the main players in inline checkweighing, making it a more accessible option for more businesses. It gives them an easier way to scale up their production without the massive outlay of a typical dynamic inline checkweigher system.”
Like Sentinel, Aqua 100 also answers a specific gap in the market.
“Aqua 100 fills the need for a professional, entry-level kitchen scale to sit alongside the other scales in Adam’s Aqua family,” said Sam Jones, CTO of Adam Equipment. “It’s portable, durable and offers superb value for everyday use in food prep areas and for field use.”
In addition to Adam’s own precision weighing solutions, the company also partners with system designers and software tech companies for custom projects, including projects that have focused on laboratory automation and Industry 4.0 applications.
UK-based Adam – previously known as Adam Equipment but now known simply as Adam following a rebrand earlier this year – is a leading global designer and manufacturer of high-quality, precision scales, balances and accessories with six branches worldwide. Today Adam continues to build on its legacy, combining decades of expertise with a forward-looking approach to product innovation and customer support.
