Aeromatic Fielder AG launched its new PMA-Advanced? high shear mixer/granulator at the Interpack show in Düsseldorf. The new design provides the same operational effectiveness as previous models but builds on the success of the technology to improve its GMP aspects, making it easier to operate and maintain, and most critically, to enhance the process and analytical aspects of the design. The PMA-Advanced? also included a number of optional PAT features.
The new PMA-Advanced? is a multi-purpose processor suitable for the high-speed dispersion of dry powders, aqueous or solvent granulations, effervescent products and melt pelletization.
The new machines are designed for clean room operation with through-the-wall configuration. Maintenance is performed from the technical area avoiding the need for work within the GMP environment. This ensures that the whole mixing/granulating operation is performed in the best possible environment for cleaning, maintenance and potentially explosive atmospheres (ATEX).
