HTR 7000: The fully automated rheometer workflow

11 Oct, 2025

The automation of lab workflows is key for future innovation and productivity gains. It boosts productivity by accelerating routine tasks, allowing scientists to focus on complex work. It ensures repeatability and consistency, with hands-free testing and rapid data analysis. And it addresses the shortage of skilled workers, while also enhancing safety by reducing exposure to hazardous substances.

Load. Set. Go.

HTR 7000 performs fully automated traceable rheological measurements – from sample preparation to cleaning – eliminating up to 14 manual steps and freeing up entire shifts.

HTR 7000 can work with solid samples like polymer discs, paste-like samples like adhesives, or low-viscosity samples like shampoos, conditioners, and food and polymer solutions. The high-end MCR 702e rheometer measures samples with various plate-plate and cone-plate geometries. Depending on the sample, modules for sample conditioning, preparation, and cleaning can be added.

Reproducible data quality and full traceability

Developed to meet the high-precision demands of the polymer industry, HTR 7000’s unique fully automated trimming tool is redefining sample preparation across multiple sectors – ranging from applications such as personal care and adhesives to paints and food. By eliminating manual variability, automated trimming delivers unmatched reproducibility – within absolute deviance of ±1.76% of G* and a standard deviation of only 1.12% for polyethylene samples – and ensures consistent sample quality with minimal exposure to atmosphere.

HTR 7000 ensures dependable, precise results through automated sample preparation and measurement. Integrated tools such as sample management, barcode reading, and LIMS connectivity guarantee SOP compliance and complete traceability, even supporting AI model training including image documentation.

Automated workflows for productivity

Up to 60 samples and 14 workflow steps can be run without interruption or supervision. The 24/7 automation covers preparation, trimming, cleaning, and data transfer - freeing your team to focus on research while accelerating innovation and productivity. An optional dual rheometer setup enables parallel measurements, saving time and maximising throughput.

Safety built-in

Automation minimises human contact with harmful samples, cleaning agents, or hot geometries. Safety doors, monitored ventilation, and explosion-safety options ensure reliable and confident operation for virtually any user.

Precision meets performance

HTR 7000 comes with Anton Paar’s three-year warranty, comprehensive service package, and global support, guaranteeing uptime, punctual delivery, and knowledge transfer. With subsidiaries worldwide, expert training, maintenance, and individual service are always close at hand.
