Meeting Motor Efficiency Regulations: EC & IE5

With the July 2021 enforcement of IE efficiency standards on all motors with rated power between 0.12kW and 1000kW because of the regulations on electric motors and variable speed (EC)2019/1781, Axair Fans are delighted to announce the launch of new 1~ and 3~ EC, IE5 motors to complement their wide range of industrial fume extraction fans. 

In line with regulations and in response to customer demand the motor standards will be supplied as below where applicable:

• Mandatory minimum IE3 efficiency level for 3-phase motors with rated output from 0.75 to 1000 kW (the IE2 + VSD alternative will no longer be allowed in EEA)
• Mandatory minimum IE2 efficiency level for 3-phase motors with rated output from 0.12 kW and below 0.75 kW
