The M4 Planetary Ball Mill, Christison Particle Technologies Ltd, is ideal for rapid grinding of batches of material down to colloidal fineness, either dry or in suspension. Also very useful for mixing/homogenizing, emulsions and pastes. This very robust mill, which is very quiet in operation, is a closed batch system in which bowls and balls reduce the overall particle size of the material so that there is no loss of sample.

The grinding time is reduced to a minimum due to the high energy generated by the planetary system. The bench-top mill is available with either 2 or 4 grinding stations and it is possible to process 8 samples on the 4-place mill, by utilizing a special adaptor to stack 2 x 80ml jars, one on top of the other. Constructed from 316 stainless steel, the unit is easy to clean and the soft-touch membrane keypad allows quick input of parameters such as motor speed, run and pause times.
