Labels for Every Laboratory Application

Fine Cut Group’s range of laboratory labels target almost every application within the typical laboratory environment. The company offers cryogenic and freezer resistant labels, solvent proof coatings, autoclave adhesives and polyesters. Labels can be supplied either bespoke or blank, suitable for in house printing.

The Laboratory specific materials are made to withstand extreme temperatures as well as solvents and chemicals. All labels can be colour coded for ease of organising batches and samples.

Label Material:

The material of choice for laboratory labels is polyester, combined with the right adhesive This robust material is designed to last with many applications within the laboratory. Resistant to solvents and chemicals, the advanced surface coatings are smudge resistant ensuring long term legibility.

Label Adhesives:

The adhesive is paramount - a label must withstand multiple handling and processes and retain its structure through batch testing and tough environments.

Fine Cut Group offers a range of adhesives depending on your application - from high tack to peelable. High tack adhesives are intended for longevity, and peelable for quick and easy removal - ideal for glass bottles and containers which need to be reused.

Adhesives for freezer and cryogenic storage range from -80 degrees to -196 degrees. Labels offer enhanced resistance against solvents and chemicals including, Xylene, Acetone, IPA, Ethanol and more.

Fine Cut Group offers two services when it comes to supplying laboratory labels:

i. Complete Bespoke Labels

Available in any size, shape, spec and design you require - batches can be provided with variable data including 2D Barcodes, QR Codes and Data Matrix as well as sequential numbering and serialisation. Available in both sheet and roll format.

ii. Standard Sized Blanks

Made to print in house, a range of standard sized blanks to suit most internal thermal printers. Available in sheet or roll format with a range of material and adhesive combinations. If the size you’re looking for doesn’t exist, bespoke blank labels can be manufactured to your specification. Colour coding and branding are available for blanks too.

Label Application:

Labels for Vials & Test Tubes

Vial labels are made from a premium polyester material that features an acrylic adhesive for enhanced bonding to PE, PP and HDPE plastic tubes. 5mm is added to the overall length to allow for an overlap. These labels will withstand freezer temperatures as low as -196 and are chemical and solvent resistant.

Tube Top Labels

Circular tube top labels - these can be printed with QR codes and Data Matrix to allow you to scan the contents without removing from their storage racks. Available with the same material and adhesive spec as tube labels.

Wellplate (Microtitre Plates)

Ideal for identifying controlled batches or samples that require easy and clear recognition. Wide enough for scannable 2D barcodes and data matrix. Available with the same material and adhesive spec as tube labels.

Slide Labels

These labels must be resistant to solvents and chemicals - specially formulated material will withstand the harshest of laboratory environments and ensure data legibility throughout sampling. Available with any form of printed data.

Plastic & Glassware Labels

The range of peelable labels will enable the labelling of laboratory plastic and glassware without leaving a residue on removal and with no need for additional cleaning.
