Specialist lens adapters improve imaging performance

Specialist optical design company Resolve Optics Ltd has expanded its offering of custom lens accessories designed to help camera manufacturers optimise imaging performance for demanding applications.

Drawing on decades of optical engineering expertise, the company has developed specialist lens adapters that enable changes to field of view and image format without compromising image quality. Unlike standard off-the-shelf alternatives, the designs are engineered to maintain high resolution and minimise optical distortion.

One example is the company’s Model 287 wide-angle lens adapter, engineered to double field of view across the full zoom range of a camera while maintaining sharp, distortion-free imaging.
