Planetary Ball Mills – fast and fine

Nov 05 2014

FRITSCH Planetary Mills classic line are most effective for rapid loss-free and reproducible ultra-fine grinding (< 1 µm) of hard, medium-hard, brittle and fibrous materials dry, in suspension or in inert gas, for mixing and homogenising as well as for mechanical alloying/activation in materials research. Samples can be processed from a few milligrams to several kilograms at a wide range of fineness levels down to less than 1 μm. They are absolutely reliable, especially easy to operate and clean. Matching grinding parts of various materials are also available to provide maximum protection against undesired contamination of the samples.

Fast and fine – easy to operate.

Advantages with FRITSCH Planetary Mills classic line:

  • Fast grinding to below 1 μm
  • Up to 800 rpm
  • Safe clamping of the bowls with the Safe-Lock-System
  • Simple, ergonomic handling and easy cleaning
  • Grinding bowls and balls in 8 different materials to suit all needs and avoidance of contamination through abrasion – maximum protection against undesired contamination of the samples
  • Consistent reproducibility
  • Long, reliable service life even under continuous, heavy duty usage.

Comminution of samples with a maximum feed particle size of up to 10 mm and a sample quantity of 0.5 – 900 ml down to a final fineness below 1 µm dry or in suspension in the areas of Geology and Mineralogy, Ceramics, Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceuticals, Metallurgy, Material Technology and sample preparation for analysis. In addition to comminution, they are worldwide standard for mixing and homogenising of emulsions and pastes as well as for mechanical alloying and activation in materials research.

Five different models of FRITSCH Planetary Mills classic line are available! You can choose between different rotational speeds, 1 up to 4 working stations for different sample quantities and feed sizes. Select with confidence the right option for your special needs from the unique FRITSCH range of Planetary Ball Mills.

Test the FRITSCH Planetary Mills. Send us your most difficult sample – we will carry out a free sample grinding for you free of charge so that you can compare for yourself.
