A New Biological Safety Cabinet is Announced.

The new Labgard NU 440 Laminar flow class II, Type A/B3 Biological safety cabinet, from NuAire, features a unique Electronic Airflow Control System that monitors and controls all cabinet functions. The control system is a self-contained micro-processor module that performs the following functions: controls blower motor via solid-state triac; monitors, displays and controls interior downflow velocities; monitors, displays and controls inflow velocities; alarm/set points for high or low airflow conditions; clock display and timer function; controls lights and outlets via solid state switch; control system automatically compensates for filter loading, volt-age variances and other environmental effects; remote contact outputs for interaction with HVAC systems Window, ultraviolet light, auxiliary alarms; and complete diagnostic functions.

The NU 440 has several new ergonomically designed features for user comfort and adjustability to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The new front airfoil enhances safety and comfort; the polished edge glass window promotes less eye fatigue and better viewing; new design gives you more leg room; an optional armrest is available for the front of the cabinet; the service valves have been staggered on the side walls making them easily accessible, and the base stand or base storage cabinet can accommodate a new adjustable hydraulic lift to raise or lower the work surface a full eight inches.
