No Fuss Protein Precipitation Sample Preparation

The ρ3 microplate from Porvair Sciences Ltd has been designed to eliminate the mess and complex sample preparation (no centrifuging and no

vortexing) associated with traditional protein precipitation sample preparation techniques.

Incorporating a proprietary treated dual matrix frit the ρ3 eliminates wetting-out and leaking of sample through the plate before the application of

vacuum. The novel treated frit matrix also maintains high flow rates enabling quick sample preparation times. In independent tests the ρ3 plate has been shown not to have any major adverse non-specific binding problems and is the protein precipitation plate of choice for a growing number of pharmaceutical companies.

Based on the industry standard Microlute™ design, the ρ3 enables 96 samples to be handled simultaneously. Adopting the footprint of a standard 96-well plate the ρ3 is readily integrated into automated systems offering the possibility of further productivity gains.
