The CAMSIZER was developed to detect relatively large, free flowing particles. One area it is extensively used in is the oil and gas industry in America for both particle size and shape analysis to achieve ISO 13503-2 standards for the quality control of proppants. Proppants and Frac sands are used in the oil and gas industry to increase the flow of oil or gas from a well by pumping them into the gas or oil well to hold the fissures open allowing easy flow of gas or oil from the well. The CAMSIZER accurately measures the Krumbein roundess and sphericity of the proppants with excellent reproducibility and quick analysis time of 1-3 minutes.
