Paracetamol is a very effective analgesic and antipyretic drug. The present application describes its determination in tablets by reversed-phase chromatography and UV detection. Fully automated sample preparation is included and provided by an 815 Robotic Soliprep for liquid chromatography.

The 815 Robotic Soliprep LC is a robust autosampler providing everything, starting from tablet dissolution to homogenisation and filtration to the injection with a 250 nL internal loop on the chromatography system.

Integrated sample preparation and analysis as enabled by the system described increases sample throughput while improving reproducibility and reliability of results.
