CCS Cell Culture Service GmbH has celebrated its 10th anniversary with international guests from industry and academia. Founded in early 2000 by Dr Oliver Klotzsche and his three partners the company is considered as a leading suppliers of cells and cell based reagents for pharmaceutical industries. Now with 20 employees, last year also saw

the launch of a subsidiary on the east coast of the USA.

During the celebration Hans-Dieter Schubert, Senior Scientist in the department of lead discovery of Boehringer Ingelheim Pharma GmbH & Co KG, gave a comprising overview

about how new drug entities are developed today compared with the past. Recalling encounters with people who were of particular importance for the development of the company, Dr Klotzsche expressed his gratitude mainly to the employees of CCS. “Without their engagement and trust, CCS would never have achieved its goals”, he said.
