Summer Studentships 2024 - applications open

The RMS are now inviting applications for its Summer Studentship scheme, which offers £2,000 in support for up to six students each year. Applications for the awards, which are split evenly between physical sciences, biological sciences and interdisciplinary projects, must include a significant microscopy component and should be submitted by a suitable host academic on behalf of a student.

The Studentship is offered on the understanding that a 500-word project report is completed by the student by the end of the period of study and submitted to the RMS. Students will also be asked to do a two-to-five-minute recording briefly talking about their experience for the RMS YouTube Channel.

Students who are in their first or final year are not eligible.  The person making the application must also be a Member or Fellow of the Royal Microscopical Society.

The deadline for applications is 31 March 2024.
