Mark Culwick joins Binding Site as CFO

The Binding Site Corporation Ltd, a privatelyowned specialist UK diagnostics company has announced the appointment of Mark Culwick as Chief Financial Officer.

Formerly a director with Rothschild in Birmingham, he developed a wide range of corporate expertise, advising both public and private companies. His responsibilities included business valuation, financial modelling, financial analysis, strategic reviews, capital raisings and mergers and acquisitions. In 2004 and 2005 he was seconded to the Equity Capital Markets division of ABN Amro focused on initial public offerings.

Before joining Rothschild in 1999, Mark spent three years at KPMG where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He has a first class honours degree in Biological and Biochemical Sciences from the University of Salford, UK, and spent a year with the microbiology departmentof SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals, now GSK, undertaking specific projects and maintaining records to comply with drug submission dossiers for the EU and US.

Charles de Rohan, who became Chief Executive Officer of The Binding Site in December 2010, said: “Mark brings first rate accounting and business skills to The Binding Site as well as a strong scientific background.

His appointment represents a further strengthening of the senior team at The Binding Site as we seek to build on the highly successful roll out of Freelite™ in the detection of Multiple Myeloma with the addition of new products and new markets.”
