JetX™ is transforming pharmaceutical and life science laboratories with a new standard in automated sample preparation. Developed by SOTAX, JetX™ replaces manual, labor-intensive workflows with a fully automated solution that accelerates testing, ensures regulatory compliance, and improves data integrity.

Sample preparation for content uniformity and assay testing has long been a bottleneck in laboratory operations. Traditional methods require hours of manual work, introducing variability and risking errors. Preparing 30 samples manually can take up to eight hours, with six hours of direct analyst involvement. JetX™ streamlines this process, completing the same workload in under two hours with less than 30 minutes of manual interaction, reducing labor time by up to 80% and quadrupling productivity.

At the core of JetX™ is patented Jet Xtraction™ technology. A high-speed jet of media rapidly disintegrates and extracts active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) from tablets, capsules, semi-solids, powders, and liquids. By controlling parameters such as flow rate, pressure, and temperature—up to 60°C for aqueous extractions—JetX™ achieves consistent, efficient results across a wide range of formulations.

JetX™ is designed for high-throughput environments, simultaneously processing five samples at a time and up to 30 samples per run. Integrated features include automated media filling, extraction, dilution, filtration, and self-cleaning. Dilution ratios from 1:1 to 1:100 are handled with high precision, and final samples are collected in standard U/HPLC vial plates, ready for immediate analysis.

Ensuring compliance is central to JetX™. Every preparation step is automatically documented, with full audit trails capturing who performed each action, when, and where. JetX™ supports regulatory standards such as 21 CFR Part 11 and seamlessly integrates with laboratory data systems, including Waters Empower CDS and q-doc®, providing secure data storage and workflow automation.

The intuitive JetPilot™ touchscreen interface allows analysts to create methods in under three minutes and execute runs with minimal training. This ease of use reduces operator error, simplifies onboarding, and enhances consistency. Validated self-cleaning cycles after each batch prevent cross-contamination and ensure reliable, repeatable results.

JetX™ delivers clear return on investment. In comparative trials, JetX™ processed 30 samples four times faster than manual methods, with a significant reduction in labor and resource use. By automating repetitive and complex tasks, JetX™ enables laboratories to increase capacity, redirect skilled personnel to higher-value work, and reduce operational costs.
