Adam Equipment launches a brand new stainless steel waterproof scale this month, the Aqua ABW S.

With precision accuracy as low as 0.1g, the Aqua ABW-S is a durable, dust and washdown-proof solution for labs that need to weigh but also keep their scales and balances hygienic - particularly cleanrooms and clinical labs.

The Aqua ABW S’s grade 304 stainless steel casing and sealed keypad, and simple, intuitive functions mean that weighing is straightforward, with reliable results, even when working in damp or dusty environments.

Adam Equipment’s Technical Manager, Karl Tilley, said: “For weighing applications that demand a reliable scale that can withstand getting dusty or wet, IP68 waterproof is generally the best option. For labs, the most important models in the new Aqua ABW S range are the 4kg and 8kg capacity models, which provide 0.1g and 0.5g accuracy respectively.”

Mr Tilley continued: “We have been asked for some time if we can add a waterproof stainless steel scale to our range. It’s a been two years in development, but we wanted to make sure we got it right with the quality, durability as well as gaining that IP68 certification.

“This new scale continues the Adam tradition of easy to use, professional scales and balances that are built to last, making them a sound investment for any lab.”

Overload protection, rechargeable battery and a stabilisation time of just one second are also benefits the Aqua ABW S offers. Plus, just like Adam Equipment’s popular range of laboratory balances, multiple weighing units are available.

The Aqua ABW S will be available from most Adam Equipment dealers from the end of June 2022.
