The Pioneer™ draftshield has been designed with all glass panels including three sliding doors, providing scientists, researchers and laboratory personnel convenient access to the weighing chamber. Thanks to the easily removable doors, disassembly takes just seconds, and all components including the balance housing can be quickly cleaned. Moreover, a standard in-use cover provides added protection against spillage, minimising the chance of damage to the display and keypad.

An optional function of internal calibration allows the balance to be calibrated prior to use without the need of external weights. The Pioneer™ Series features an up-front level indicator, eliminating the need to look behind the balance during the leveling process. To help adapt the balance to various working conditions, Pioneer™ is equipped with selectable environmental settings including three filter modes and adjustable zero tracking. The Pioneer™ Series software features basic weighing, parts counting and percent weighing modes and 18 international weighing units and 1 user-defined unit*. The balance’s built-in weigh-below hook enables users to suspend an item below the balance to calculate density/specific gravity. The RS232 port enables the balances to be connected to an OHAUS printer or a computer.
