The centrifuge models ROTINA 380 and ROTINA 380 R (refrigerated) do not only complete the Hettich company’s comprehensive range of centrifuges, but also set standards in performance and utility within their class.
The general-purpose benchtop centrifuges process samples up to volumes of 4 x 290 ml at a maximum RCF of 4.863. Angle rotors for accommodating conical 50 ml tubes with screw cap generating a maximum RCF of 22.789 are also available. Microlitre tubes can be accelerated to an RCF of 24.400. In addition, the centrifuges impress by the large number of tubes they accept per run. In one cycle 64 Vacutainers (13 x 100 mm), 52
Monovettes (16 x 92 mm), 36 conical 15 ml tubes (Falcon type) or 16 conical 50 ml tubes (Falcon type) can be centrifuged. With the autoclavable and aerosol-tight accessories (TÜV-tested) toxic or infectious materials can be processed safely for both the user
and the environment. The rotor chamber is made of stainless steel and, therefore, easy to clean. Ease of use is provided by powered lid locking, automatic rotor detection and stand-by cooling.

Refrigerated model ROTINA 380 R enables centrifugation of chermosensitive samples at temperatures between – 20°C and + 40°C. On option, the temperature can also be set in degrees Fahrenheit. With the high-class C control panel even sophisticated parameter combinations can be conveniently entered, stored and recalled, if required. 98 programme storage places are available.

Additional programme position ‘PREC’ is reserved for the pre-cooling programme.
