New Rotating Pt-Disk Electrode for CVS Applications
Dec 11 2008
The new electrode with a platinum diameter of 1 mm has been developed specially for use in CVS analyses. It can also be used in research
for recording cyclic voltammograms (CV).
This electrode is particularly recommended if you want to accelerate your measuring procedures without compromising on accuracy. Rapid conditioning means that very little time is lost on preparation steps. Thus you can start measuring sooner than it was previously possible. Further advantages of the new electrode include outstanding reproducibility of the measurements, lower background current and
excellent resistance to concentrated acids, oxidants and organic solvents. Each electrode comes with its own individual quality
certificate. The test cyclic voltammogram contained in the certificate is a fingerprint of the electrode at the time of delivery. It can be compared at any time with a currently recorded cyclic voltammogram, thus
allowing assessment of the current condition of the electrode.
The new electrode can be used with existing methods without any problems. Minor adaptations only need to be made to existing CPVS methods in order to get the usual results. All other methods can be transferred directly.
